"Okay, So Here's The Deal..."
JOSH COLE IS A POLY-HYPHENATED CREATIVE & SERIAL ENTREPRENEUR.
I know, but It's far easier to say than designer-maker-growth-hacker-writer-illustrator-creative-technologist-with-a-deep-love-of-product-ideation-and-development.
JUST THE FACTS.
The Elevator Pitch on Who I Am and What I Do
I'm a freelance UI / Interaction Designer and Art Direct, founder of Artistry in Games and Bench Hound, and design and professional practices professor at Messiah College. I currently live in Nashville, TN.
I was honored to have been a part of the team that designed, developed and launched Facedeals, while at redpepper, an ad agency in Nashville. Using facial recognition software, Facedeals, upon recognizing a user walking into their favorite shopping destination or watering hole, with their permission, sends a customized deal to the user's mobile device based on Facebook "like" history. One of the most memorable moments on that project was being featured on the CBS show, "60 Minutes".
During my career I've had the privilege of having worked with companies such as OUYA, Verizon, HP, Country Music Television, Sony Records, Off Broadway Shoes, Healthways, Deloitte, Blue Cross Blue Shield, SVP Worldwide, Husqvarna-Viking, Healthways, Ping Identity, Vanderbilt University & More.
Sadly, while in school for digital animation and multimedia, I turned down a job in New Zealand working on a “unnamed” movie trilogy project as a texture and lighting artist which, sadly, was revealed later to be the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Ooops.
I'm husband to a beautiful wife bent on saving every animal on the planet and dad to a maniacally playful baby boy skilled in the ancient art of mimicry, growling and fit throwing.
